Deccan Chronicle’s ‘Paint it Green Debate’ as part of it’s second anniversary celebrations had environmental experts, government officials and activists discuss about how to restore Bengaluru’s glory and re-green the city . The discussions revolved around maintaining a balance between development and preserving the city’s greenery and environment. Infrastructure development has to go hand in hand with sustainable living and environment friendly practices need to be made mandatory for every citizen. These were some of the crucial points that were put forth in the debate.
On the occasion, Green Warrior awards were given to people who contributed to the cause of the environment by His Excellency, The Governor of Karnataka, Shri H R Bhardwaj . The winners of the awards were chosen by a team of eminent panelists.
